Allergy screening using Blood antibodies - Levels of serum IgE and IgG4 antibodies are measured for many foods. High antibody level for a given food suggests food allergy. We also use MSA testing (see: Meridian Stress Assessment) to assess allergies.
Allergy screening using Meridian Stress - Allergy screening is also performed with MSA technology. This test screens for 125 common items, including weeds, grasses, trees, pollens, mold, dust, animals, foods, environmental, chemical sensitivities, and microscopic organisms. It can also determine sensitivity to dental materials, medicines, and nutritional substances. (see: Meridian Stress Assessment)
Amino Acid Analysis - urine and blood tests that identify levels of various amino acids and determines deficiencies, excesses, and imbalances. It gives good information about the need for specific vitamin and mineral supplementation. It also suggests a custom formula for amino acid replacement to precisely correct imbalances.
Cardiac Risk Profile - tests Homocysteine levels, oxidative protection, Lipid Peroxidases, Vitamin A, B6, B12, C, E, and Folate, Beta Carotene, Co-enzyme Q-10, Lycopene, Leukins, Lipoprotein (a) and Fibrinogen levels, which give an extremely accurate picture of risk for heart disease and necessary treatment
Comprehensive Parasitology - tests the stools for parasites, “bad” bacteria, and pathogenic yeast species. It also identifies the levels of various “good” bacteria. A sensitivity test indicates which antibiotics, anti-fungals, or herbal products will help to eradicate the pathogenic organisms identified.
Delayed Hypersensitivities/Allergies Test - The ELISA Lymphocyte Response Assay is a procedure we can initiate at the Freedom Center to assist patients to recover from various immune system related conditions - including allergic migraine, multiple sclerosis, chronic sinusitis, frequently recurrent cold & flu symptoms, asthma, inflammatory bowel, eczema, psoriasis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and depression.
Fatty Acid Analysis - evaluates various fatty acids and the differences between them. Deficiencies are found in autism, ADD, many chronic diseases, and depression
Genetic Profiling - is a personalized genetic assessment for optimizing health. Within each person’s genetic makeup, there are slight “variations” called “Singe Nucleotide Polymorphisms” (commonly called SNPs, pronounced “snips”.) Although they don’t cause disease, SNPs make a person more susceptible to a specific disease than he or she would be if the SNPs were not present. This SNP-associated susceptibility may be modified and reduced by factors such as environment, diet, and lifestyle once test results are known.
Glucose Tolerance Test with insulin – determines hypo or hyper-glycemia and hyperinsulinism, which can lead to elevated lipids, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and/or heart disease.
Heavy Metal Challenge testing - including mercury (Hg), lead (Pb), aluminum (Al), arsenic (As), and cadmium (Cd) - are often associated with chronic or autoimmune illness when levels are elevated in the body. Challenge testing uses heavy metal chelators such as DMPS, DMSA, or D-Penicillamine to promote release of heavy metals from body tissues which can be measured in the urine.
Hormonal testing - assist in diagnosis, treatment and monitoring treatment: Pre-menopausal - a month long saliva test that shows changing levels of estradiol and progesterone through the month, as well as an average testosterone level. Used for PMS, abnormal periods, painful periods, excessive bleeding, infertility, etc. Post menopausal – blood, urine or saliva testing that gives the levels of the three main types of estrogen, as well as progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and markers which indicate breast cancer risk. This can be used to both assess the need for hormones and assess current hormonal replacement therapy. Male hormones - saliva or blood for testosterone and DHEA.
IV Antibiotic Therapy for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Scleroder - Rheumatoid Arthritis and Scleroderma IV Antibiotic Therapy - we are following the protocol started by Dr. Thomas McPherson Brown and proven in NIH studies of long term, low dose antibiotics with great success. (see also: JMT)
IV Migraine Push - IV Migraine Push - A migraine headache, even when well established, often shuts off very quickly with an intravenous push of simple nutrients (mainly magnesium and vitamin B6). Some people have had weeks of relief after this treatment, and it is especially helpful for those who have frequent headaches, who don’t tolerate medications well, or for whom medications are rather ineffective.
Natural Hormone Therapy - as determined by special tests, includes a variety of natural hormones including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, thyroid, and cortisol. Skin creams or oral route may be used.
Supplements - There is now so much compelling scientific evidence supporting the usefulness of vitamins and minerals that we would all benefit from taking them. An explosion of nutritional products of variable quality and price causes much confusion. We have high quality products available through mail order for our out-of-town patients. Call the office for information about our automatic shipment or check our web site for “products” available www.freedomcenterforadvancedmedicine.com Also see the Treatment Available Section on Nutrient Therapy and Counseling
